Process Designer

Permanent Job Functions

You can assign an arbitrary number of Job Functions to a process. All Job Functions necessary for a process must first be set up in JobRouter Designer. Then you can assign the Job Functions to steps and rules using drop-down lists. This gives you a convenient overview during development. Exporting a process includes all Job Function information. How to define Job Functions is covered in detail in the JobRouter Administration Manual.

Temporary Job Functions

In general, steps of an instance are assigned to users via Job Functions. However some processes might need to create a Job Function dynamically. For example a process for incoming mail that allows to select the recipients individually for each instance. Assigning the users the Job Functions can therefore not be made in advance. JobRouter supports temporary Job Functions for this scenario. These Job Functions can be created via a system activity and used to assign steps to users, but are not visible in the JobRouter functions such as Assign, Request or in the administrative menus. The representatives functionality is also not available. These Job Functions and the assignment of users will be automatically deleted when the instance is removed from the system without further input necessary from the process designer.
