In the Flowchart Editor there are various symbols, which you can use to graphically model your process. The following table gives a quick overview:
Symbol |
Significance of the symbol |
Description |
|---|---|---|
|
Start step |
The start step is the logical mark for the beginning of a process (e.g. "Request vacation leave", "Create a travel expense report"). The start step is displayed in the JobRouter Start menu of the user or the Job Function owners. |
|
User activity |
A user activity is a process step, which contains a form (e.g. "Verification HR department", "Approval from supervisor"). |
|
System activity |
This step contains no form. The process is executing it automatically, the user will not see this step. Such steps are e.g. the sending of an e-mail or the archiving of a document.
Numerous default system activities with own symbols are integrated in JobRouter Designer. It is also possible to create customer-specific system activities. They will differ visually from the default symbols. |
|
Decision step |
A decision step contains no user interaction and contains only rules, which influence the process flow (e.g. depending on the information in the form it is possible to continue the process in another step). |
|
Parallelization Start |
The split type Parallelization start can split steps in the process to run them in parallel (See chapter Parallelism). |
|
Parallelization End |
Through the link Parallelization end steps running in parallel can be merged (See chapter Parallelism) |
|
Tex note |
It is possible to comment on single steps or visualize general information in the charts by using text notes. Any number of notes may be stored. |
