You can optionally assign rules to the steps of your process. Rules carry out certain actions, such as altering a value in a database, redirecting the process flow to another step, and copying, deleting or moving data attachments. The rules are executed when the step is processed, i.e. when the user clicks the Send button in the form. If you have set up several rules within a step, JobRouter will process them consecutively.
In order to cover the broadest range of actions, a wide variety of rules are available for use:
•Use a rule group to centrally define the execution conditions for multiple logically-linked rules.
•Use a routing rule to define the subsequent step of the instance.
•Use a completion rule to define the end of the process.
•Use a value assignment rule to change values of the process table and the subtables.
•Use a action rule to start various actions, such as copying file attachments, send E-mails or export data.
•If the DocuWare module has been installed, the DocuWare Rule can execute DocuWare actions.
